its getting hot in here

I just had a GREAT weekend. Candi came to visit me. It was the first time that any of my sisters have come and lived with me for a few days (mom did it last fall). she even had her own room here... but for two nights we put mattresses on the floor in my room and had sleepovers. i just love having my sisters around, we always have a good time.

It started with a tour of BYU in this awesome go-cart with Chris. Our tour guide Rhett was hilarious and i learned a lot actually.

It made me proud to be a part of BYU.
Then we went and got some lunch at Tucano's, which is always SO GOOD!! and SOO much food!
After we went to the humanitarian aide center (more to come on that in a later post). and then to temple square. We walked around all of it and it is always nice to be there.

on saturday, we neglected to take any pictures (which is really unfortunate) but Candi, Chris, Cort and I went to the morning session of conference. It was awesome and we had some great seats. Afterwards, like Auntie Wilma said on her blog we met up with them for some Cafe Rio. And then Candi and i spent the rest of the weekend with them. It was SO much fun. As it always is. Movie and food-network watching, wii playing, conference listening and food making and eating. all my favorites.

Sunday morning we had a "yellow" breakfast. just coincidence that all the food was yellow.

We got these awesome conference packets to help us to listen better. i must say that it worked.

In between sessions Nicole and I made some Nanaimo Bars (they are SOO goood). We did it like a cooking show meets iron chef. Here are the judges:

We were judged on neatness, flavor and presentation i think.

yes, blade is upside down in the picture above...

Candi said in her notes that we had "great teamwork"

Check out the clip at the bottom of our cooking show.

Turns out we did okay.. here are chays notes from the show... he gave us a 24 out of 30. i am happy with that. The three notes in the left corner are thinks we needed to work on.

Blade and Candi became best friends this weekend .

After conference was over, we made Ukrainian Eggs (or kranian eggs as chay kept saying)

I had never done it before and it was a lot of fun!!

Two of my eggs, and one of nicoles.

Candi was a natural.. or is she just ukrainian?

Thanks to Auntie Wilma and Uncle Dave and their family for letting us hang out this weekend!! we really enjoyed our time with you guys. There is always a lot of laughter and good memories made!!!

i'll miss you candi. thanks for coming to visit. next time we'll take more pictures!!
