in more recent news...

Luke has always wanted a safe. You can imagine his joy when this week his dad had got one on sale at Costco.

He really couldn't wait to open it.

It is just too bad that we don't have too much stuff worth putting in a safe yet.  We're working on that....

Yesterday we had the chance to play with Porter and Corban.  We took them for some ice cream and then to the park.

As you can see Corban loved the Tiger ice cream more than he loved getting his picture taken.

Also yesterday we had our appointment with the US Consulate - which was booked 2 weeks in advance so that we could spend about 15 minutes in there waiting to hand in the paperwork we had been working on.  We just started the waiting game and in 2-3 weeks they'll Open up a file for us and in 4-6 weeks they'll send us a checklist of things we will need to get done for an interview that they'll set the date for in Montreal and i'll need to get a physical done either their or in Vancouver.  By the sounds of all of this it will be even longer til we have anything to put in our safe.

tomorrow it's back out to the cabin for a last week or so.

i promise.. more posts to come

Whattt? You have to get your physical done in either Vancouver or Montreal? That's so retarded. At school they have a Civil Surgeon at the Health Center... so convenient. Keep me posted on your paperwork. I wanna hear all about it. PS - I just had my interview in Boise last friday... and I PASSED! :) My greencard will be arriving in about 4 or 5 days! :)

Oh and also, Brady too loves the safe we got for our wedding gift - however, its not nearly as cool as yours! Yours is LEGIT! Ours is just a box/chest/briefcase looking thing... but its got the whole "fire/water proof"ness to it! :)

Put your passports in it... and spare cash... thats what ours has - and my student visas... and also my immigration stuff!

your husband is pretty cute. and that tiger icecream is to DIE for. My mom told me to put $100 in $1 bills - incase the second coming happens and visa machines dont work? i dont know. you know g-lo... always thinking.

Tiger seemed to be a reoccurring theme (Tiger Wood and Tiger ice cream)...

Safes are a good thing! We have one for with our passports, citizenship cards, green card... and another for Dave's work equipment.

Being legal takes a lot of work and TIME...good luck with the time line.

Alanna, cute little married life!! I love your updates! Sometime when you have time, you should blog about exactly what you are doing now, and what you are planning on doing, because I'm a little confused! (immigration papers, living and working at a cabin, etc.) love you!

that is so weird you have to do it one of the two places! But how cool you get to go to MONTREAL possibly!:) I love you, and I hope things come together quickly and smoothly.
