Summer Vacation part 2 (Blessing and Homecoming)

We decided to bless Rai while we were home, and did it in combination with Erika's homecoming talk in church.  There were 3 other baby blessings that same day (all the Palmer babies) and Luke was so happy that Rai was quiet and didn't fuss during the blessing.   We enjoyed the rest of the day spending time with all the family that gathered.

Summer Vacation part 1

We were lucky to get about a 3 week vacation (well it was a 3 week vacation for me, not Luke). First we headed to Idaho, Luke was speaking to a few business classes and we were more than happy to be reunited with the Radfords for a few days. These are just the pictures from my camera, I realize now how much of a hassle it is to have pictures on my phone and camera and want to post them together.

Tracen and Stori play so well together, it is kind of amazing!  I was so happy that they seemed to pick up where we left off in Rexburg.  Not pictured is our bike ride on Sunday afternoon, our day spent in Rexburg at Porter Park again and our bonfire after the kids went to bed.  Thank you Radfords for a great time!

We got home just in time to pick up Erika from the airport, who was returning home from her Temple Square mission.  Apparently the wait was long, and after hearing my Dad mention there was a Chick-Fil-A at the airport it was all Tracen wanted.

Right after Tracen gave Erika a hug he asked if she wanted to go get food, so we went and enjoyed Chick-fil-A.
That weekend was my cousin Brent's wedding.  It was so fun to see most of my cousins on my Dad's side (we were missing Candi, Chris, Nicole and Petrea and kids)

Between the luncheon and reception we went to visit Nana and Dawne and Grandma Anderson.

Summer Vacation 2014 Video

Here is the link to the video I made of our summer vacation. As always, I wish I had taken more pictures and video - but I am happy I enjoyed so much of it without a camera attached to me (mostly it was just a nursing baby).  We had such a great break and loved all the time we got to spend with family and as our little family.

3 months

Rai is now three months old (and now almost 3.5 months).  It is hard to think of life without him and I sure love getting to know him.

+He recently has started to like being laid down to go to sleep, and he still loves being swaddled as well
+His hands are always around his mouth and face, he loves to suck on his hand (yes, the whole thing, or as much of it as he can get in his mouth) he is constantly breaking out of his swaddle and pulling his soother (pacifier) out of his mouth

+Holds his head up pretty well, our couple of weeks on vacation took away tummy time, but he is doing a good job of holding that big head up (not kidding about the big head - we are talking 90th percentile and the rest of him is in the 50th)

+Can sit in a bumbo now for about 15 minutes
+Loves to be able to see what is going on
+He is so chatty, saying "oooo" over and over and then when he is done talking he usually gets really fussy and is ready to sleep

+Eating every 3 hours
+Sleeps for about a 4-5 hour stretch when I put him to bed at night, but I think he might sleep longer now that we are home and can get back to a schedule

+Still can't handle when I have diary, chocolate and mustard.  I also try to go easy on onions.  I did indulge in pizza when I was home with diary free cheese, it was good, but not the same.
+Gives out smiles without as much work, I love his little gummy smile and pin dimple
+Hates the sun in his eyes, especially when in his car seat (I think he is a little more sensitive than Tracen)

+Survived our long day at the Calgary Stampede in the 30+ degree weather like a champ, he's pretty easy going
+Is quickly growing out of his 3 month sleepers
