Mother's Day Disneyland trip video

Feels like forever since we went to Disneyland in May, and I finally got the video of our trip finished.  It is long, but Luke says that is okay because it really is our home video and we shouldn't put time limits on that.  So, for my records:

Home video recap HERE!

Christmas part 2

After the Nativity we headed to my parents, where we spent the next week.  The boys were good to go to bed (Tracen knew Santa wouldn't come unless he was asleep).

It was not as early of a morning as we expected, but still early.  Tracen was SO excited to see that Santa had come and found us even though we weren't at our house.

Tracen wore this face of excitement opening all the presents

The rest of the week was spent with sick boys, and playing lots of games, watching movies, doing puzzles and eating lots of good food.
We got to enjoy the Kwasney tradition of basketball and a pot luck on Boxing Day.  My bestie Jess was there with her kids. It made me laugh to think of all the time that Jess and I used to spend going to basketball games to watch boys (mostly Luke for me haha) and we were doing it again but now with kids.

Tracen had his heart set on a remote control monster truck for Christmas. Much to our dismay the battery literally only lasts about 12 minutes (the instructions say so too) and takes a couple hours to charge.  Maybe next year Santa will have to not be so cheap...

Grandma Takahashi came for New Years, and came bearing gifts for the boys. She is so great.
We had Chinese Food for dinner, and grandma made rice bags (as always!).  I don't think I even made it to 12... I am a party pooper.

It was such  fun break and so nice to have Luke not working and hanging out with us.  We missed Angie and Mike in Kingston though...

Christmas part 1

I am still blogging about Christmas over here, oops!

We were happy to go to Calgary for Christmas, and with Luke's office being closed between Christmas and New Years, we were able to spend a good couple of weeks at home without taking a ton of days off.

The first week we were home we stayed at Luke's parents.  Tracen and especially Rai loved having Winston to chase and eat all the food they dropped on the floor.
For FHE we decorated gingerbread houses at Jordan and Trisha's.

We got to spend a couple of days with Akiyah, and she played so well with Tracen and was always willing to go outside and play with him in the snow when no one else wanted to.
We literally braved the crowds and spent over and hour in line for the kids to see Santa.  As you can see below Rai almost cried and then almost smiled during his visit with Santa.

We enjoyed our traditional sleigh ride, although by the end all our toes were FROZEN. Maybe it is because the kids all played in this huge snow pile before we got on the sleigh and got a little covered in snow.

Then it was back to the golf course for hot chocolate, which Rai enjoyed.  Tracen loved running around with all his cousins.   The kids did a craft, we ate delicious food, played the hand bells, acted out the nativity, did our white elephant gift exchange, and had a dance party.  I must have pictures on my camera from the rest of the night.

On Christmas Eve we enjoyed Chinese food and then got the boys in their PJ's and snow gear and went to see the live Nativity at Heritage Park.
