Christmas around the world - Introduction

I have fond memories of being in Mrs. Robertsons class for grades 1 & 2.  Coming up to this Christmas season I kept thinking of one of the years I was in there, and how we explored Christmas around the world.  I decided I wanted to try to do a similar type thing with Rai (and Tracen when he is around) for his homeschool preschool until Christmas. I decided that for me, I would also love to bake/cook things from all around the world too.  There is so much to learn, and I have read a lot, and there is still a lot to read, but I decided I better just dive in and get started.  I would love to one day create some sort of guide, or book or something with all of this.   It has been fun so far to bake some new things, create some things and be inspired by the Christmas books we have.  It has also become a testament to me of the birth of Jesus Christ.  The fact that it is celebrated all around the world and has been for centuries is proof of that to me.
